Custom case interiors can vary in materials to include 2# soft Polyester urethane foams, Polyethylene (Ethafoam) foams, Crosslink foam and Antistatic foam materials. Interior structures (partitions/load spreaders) can be made using several different materials, including ABS plastic, ACX plywood, HDPE plastic or Hardboard. Top edges of partitions can be finished with either plastic or aluminum cap materials.

The foam materials can be dressed up with velvet cloth covering or flock top layer to enhance appearance. For some special applications a vinyl covering material can be applied to seal the foam surfaces to provide easy washing and cleaning if required.

When a custom foam interior or insert is required, we have several fabrication methods to choose. Prototype or small quantity inserts can be hand-cut. Depending on the complexity of the compartments and overall insert design, alternate methods include die-cut or waterjet-cutting. Factors to be considered include quantities required and possible repeat production of same insert in the future. All of these cutting methods have some of their own benefits and limitations, which must be considered when analyzing the best choices for your case interiors.
